As Canadians we talk about the weather relentlessly, I just talk about it a little more! I hope to provide useful information to my family, friends and all those who simply enjoy talking about the weather. While I try to include information of interest from all over North America, my primary region of concern is the St. Lawrence Valley of Quebec, Ontario, and New York, as well as our neighbouring regions. Highway 401 CLOSED

The eastbound lanes of Highway 401 are closed from Cobourg for almost 200km east to Gananoque because of heavy snow and white out conditions in snowsqualls off Lake Ontario. The OPP have reported over 100 accidents so far.
