As Canadians we talk about the weather relentlessly, I just talk about it a little more! I hope to provide useful information to my family, friends and all those who simply enjoy talking about the weather. While I try to include information of interest from all over North America, my primary region of concern is the St. Lawrence Valley of Quebec, Ontario, and New York, as well as our neighbouring regions. This Blog is dedicated to my late father for inspiring my interest in weather.

Storm Update
Cold air is pouring into the St. Lawrence Valley at this hour, as low pressure moves across southern New England to lie near Boston tonight. Strong northeast winds have dropped the mercury to 0C in Montreal with freezing drizzle. In Quebec City a winter storm warning is in effect for heavy snow and blowing snow. It is currently -2C there with east winds at 63km/h and 1km visibility in ice pellets. Keep this in mind if you are traveling north and east of Montreal. The heaviest precipitation is now over for Montreal, but light snow or freezing drizzle is possible well into the evening hours. Travel with caution today and expect delays north and east of Montreal. Peak wind gusts in the Quebec City area could reach 90km/h.
