As Canadians we talk about the weather relentlessly, I just talk about it a little more! I hope to provide useful information to my family, friends and all those who simply enjoy talking about the weather. While I try to include information of interest from all over North America, my primary region of concern is the St. Lawrence Valley of Quebec, Ontario, and New York, as well as our neighbouring regions. This Blog is dedicated to my late father for inspiring my interest in weather.

Heavy Rain Warning
Low pressure with a wide swath of heavy rain is moving north towards Ontario and Quebec tonight. Radar at 10pm is showing bands of very heavy rain with some freezing rain in isolated pockets moving into the region. The heavy rain will begin overnight and taper off late Thursday. Total amounts of 30-40mm are forecast. In addition to the rain strong winds will develop in the St. Lawrence Valley and gust to over 60km/h. Environment Canada has posted a heavy rain warning for Montreal and the surrounding regions. Currently it is 4C on Ile Perrot so I expect straight rain in the region.
