Early Spring Weather

Partly cloudy days with clear nights and mild temperatures can be expected for the balance of this week. Temperatures will be well above normal in the warm March sun. I expect it to easily make it to 5C across the area today. Montreal was 6C yesterday with plenty of snow melting. At this rate we may see our lawns by the weekend. No precipitation is expected before next Monday. Low pressure developing today near North Carolina will move out into the Atlantic well south of New England. The next threat for any snow or rain will come next Sunday night and Monday.

Enjoy the mild weather but remember, that March and April hold the distinction of having the biggest snowstorms in Montreal and southern Quebec including the record breaking March 4, 1971 storm and the March 13, 1993 super storm as well as on April 4, 1975. You get the idea I could go on there are so many more examples. I guess what I am saying is don't put away the shovel just yet.
