SNOW

Simply put it will snow all weekend. Radar shows light snow over Eastern Ontario spreading into western Quebec at this hour of 8pm EST. This snow will taper Friday before another shot begins to wrap around a deepening storm near Cape Cod overnight into Saturday. That snow will become steady across the region especially south and east of Montreal. I think most regions of southern Quebec, New England and extreme eastern Ontario will see between 15 and 30cm by the time Monday rolls around. There may even be more at higher elevations. In addition to the snow winds will begin to increase out of the north on Saturday causing blowing snow. It appears that all forecasts are on track now keeping the mild maratime air well to our east meaning the precipitation will stay as snow. Travel safely...Happy New Year....

I may try to squeeze one more post in later on this evening before the bell tolls midnight. Thank you all again for reading. I have had over 37,000 hits this year. It means so much to me to share my passion for weather with all of you.
Be good, be safe... Stephen B.

Happy New Year to you too! Thank you for the weather news. It was specially helpful this morning as we're taking the plane tomorrow back to Montreal. Keep up the great work! Best, The Mexican.
